National Child Care Policy Symposium
Each year, Child Care Aware® of America brings togther the nation's Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) leaders and other advocates of progressive child care policies for its Policy Symposium. Child Care Aware® of America updates the field on the current status of public policy issues at the state and federal level and prepares its membership for an effective Day on the Hill. Participants hear the latest policy developments, cutting edge research and strategies to use technology and grassroots advocacy skills to engage parents, child care providers and leaders in their states and communities to move policy forward to improve child care for children, families and child care professionals.

Child care providers are influential early forces who can help children learn healthy habits that will last a lifetime. Health Aware, a wellness expo sponsored by Child Care Aware® of America, DC Child Care Connections, Maryland Family Resource Centers and Child Care Aware® of Virginia, will bring together regional child care professionals and industry experts to facilitate resource sharing, promote effective strategies, and support high-quality healthy eating and physical activity programs for children in diverse care settings.Health Aware is part of Child Care Aware® of America's Policy Symposium.
